What is a certified translation?
A certified translation is a translated document accompanied by a signed statement from the translator or translation company confirming that the translation is accurate and complete to the best of their knowledge. In the UK, this is sometimes called a “sworn translation” or “official translation,” though the UK does not use a formal sworn translator system like some European countries.
Unlike in some countries, the UK does not require translations to be certified by a notary or government-appointed translator. A qualified professional translator with demonstrable expertise in the subject matter and target language can provide a valid certified translation.

Does it need to be notarised?
